Hello dears,
Last week I was fortunate enough to attend a very fun and artsy event, which took place in the beautiful lounge at the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills. This lively event was hosted by none other than Ralph Rieckermann, the bass player from one of my all time favorite bands, The Scorpions! He's quite the rock star in his own right, and he has now transitioned quite seamlessly into the art world.
The event celebrated an exhibit of his art works, and the work of another very talented young artist (and dear friend of mine) Oksanna Romanov. Oksanna has collaborated with Ralph for quite a few years, and they have partnered up previously for various charitable organizations as well. It was so fun toasting their achievements! I first met Ralph about 6 years ago, and still to this day he is one of the most multidimensional talents I've ever met! Plus, he's such a wonderful and authentic human being. This soiree combined their love or art, music and creativity, and it was obvious throughout the night that this event was a huge success!
Michael and I had a great time celebrating with friends, and taking in the beautiful artwork (including Oksanna's models in hand painted bridal dresses). There was a lot of excitement over Ralph's body of work, and his transition from being a bass player in a rock band to a painter. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at his art, combined with the music of The Scorpions as the backdrop of the evening! A definite night to remember ;-)
Not to be outdone by all of this art, I wore my favorite new Single Melva Necklace Double Layered Blouse - the new hottest date top that also comes in ivory! - accessorized with earrings by Olya Kislin at Figaru, my Hermes CDC cuff, and my favorite birthday gift from my dear girlfriends, my Perrin Paris Spider Web Clutch.
Cheers to new artistic ventures and the boundless art expression of Oksanna and Ralph. Enjoy the pics below!
