Another day, another fabulous event to share with you! Recently, I spent a magical night attending the re-opening of the Hermes flagship store with my hubby Michael and a few girlfriends, including Loree Rodkin, Jenny Leeser and Christine Chiu. It honestly doesn't get any better than when Hermes throws an elegant and creative bash! First, everyone gathered in front of the shop to witness a fantastic unveiling, and then the real festivities began that evening.
On a secluded film studio lot in Culver City, the incredible Hermes team transformed the venue into special vignettes of magical inspiration. When one enters the world of Hermes and witnesses their whimsical take on the grand tradition, it's a match made in heaven! For me, this was Hermes heaven ;-)
As we arrived, we struck several poses on the orange (of course!) carpet with a sign created from the Hermes logo, and then entered this wondrous party. There were man made stars and a lake with little orange sailboats floating around, mimes for entertainment, French music playing, crepe carts and can can dancers... I almost felt like I was transported to the streets of Paris!
We walked through different rooms, and in each new room there was a brand new theme. It was a total Alice in Hermes Wonderland experience! One room was transformed into a swimming pool with male dancers, and another room was a vintage photo studio where you could wear one of Hermes' legendary silk scarves and have your photo taken in black and white (very '40s!). Another experience required you to sit in a mock vintage convertible, with wind blowing through your hair (this gave me shades of "To Catch a Thief"). Lastly, there was a library filled with antiques, that boasted a carved oak full bar, a jazz band, and vintage leather couches. This instantly took me to the Great Gatsby era... oh yes, I truly thought that F. Scott Fitzgerald or Hemingway would walk in at any moment!
The total experience was incredible, the night divine... I just didn't want this memorable evening to end! Enjoy the photos below... :-)
