I can't believe it's almost 2013! This past month was a month of giving, especially to one of my favorite charities... Divine Design / Project Angel Food! The Single Dress team was thrilled to be able to contribute and donate to this worthy cause, it's one of my favorites.
We at Single Dress have donated beautiful holiday blouses to the Aviva Girls Foundation, victims of Hurricane Sandy, CASA For Children Organization in Orange County, and of course... our largest donation is our mini-boutique for Divine Design. The press breakfast prior to the Divine Design event (which normally last 4 days) was marvelous. The "who's who" of LA design teams were in attendance, including PR managers from Trina Turk, Sanctuary Clothing, Monique Lhuillier, David Meister, and myself all gathered on a rainy Los Angeles morning to chat with bloggers and a reporter from The Los Angeles Times. The breakfast spread was divine, and we all received ginger cookies (perfect for this festive time of year!) that were just delectable.
David Meister and I have known each other for quite some time, and we had a lot of fun catching up. I love the photo of us below! The design floor space looked incredible, as all of our logos were displayed and the Divine Design volunteers worked for days to merchandise the product assortment to beautifully utilize the fullest potential of a fab shopping experience! The sales started to a great buzz, and when I returned to the venue on Sunday, all of the Single product was SOLD OUT! Yey!!!
I am so thrilled that, in a small way, my company and I were able to contribute to the Meals on Wheels that Project Angel Food provides every day. Divine Design is a wonderful charity, and this event really touched my heart. I am delighted and honored to have been able to contribute and give back.
PS - there were fun gadgets all around at the event, and Time Warner Cable set up camera where you can be a character in a sitcom. So fun!! I was a member of "Cougar Town" and for a moment imagined really being a part of the cast. Check out the photo below. Ha!
'Til next time...
Xo, G
