I recently attended a very glamorous event in Beverly Hills, the grand opening of the Valentino Boutique at the new location. The evening was also a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Valentino! Such a milestone!!
I can't believe that it's been 50 years that the Valentino team has been creating the most exquisite dresses ever. Personally, I am a proud owner of quite a few of these miraculous designs.
It was a balmy evening in Beverly Hills, and there was a festive ambiance at the store which was crowded with stunning women in gorgeous dresses from the new collection. For my outfit, I opted for my favorite one shouldered purple Valentino runway dress from 6 years ago.... I absolutely love this dress!
Once inside, champagne and caviar were tray passed while celebrities galore rubbed shoulders with us. I brought my mom with me as my guest, and she really enjoyed herself. Highlights included meeting Kim Kardashian and Jason Lewis (who played Smith Jerrod in the "Sex and the City" series!). After the event, the night continued on to a VIP dinner at the Tower Hotel, with delicious food, a DJ spinning Madonna, and mingling that continued until midnight.
The pièce de résistance at dinner? The dessert... wow! We tasted the most delectable chocolate treats served on a tower. Plus, each guest got a small red velvet bow cake, and we were asked to make a wish in honor of Valentino's 50th birthday! So cute!!! My own birthday was just one day before this, so I felt like it spilled over into this magical evening. At the end of this Cinderella night - it was truly a magical evening - we all received such wonderful gifts including a pair of fab Valentino glasses and a large bottle of Valentino perfume.. yey!!!
