Hello my friends!
Everytime I enter this hotel, I feel like I am walking into a fairy tale! After all, my most precious memories are tied to this incredibly romantic spot in the hills of Bel Air. My wedding night was spent here, and the next morning we awoke to the sounds of... guess what? A wedding march! As Michael and I walked out onto our Terrace with Champagne glasses in our hands, overlooking the lovely pond with the two white swans, there was another wedding in progress! Needless to say, everytime I set food on the grounds of this "magical hotel" my heart skips a beat :-)
Yesterday was no different... the luncheon was lovely. A very famous hat maker was our Guest Speaker, her name is Louise Green. We had so much fun trying on fascinators... and that's not just a hat, that is considered by the British to be just a small head dress usually attached to a headband. And of course the Top Hats and Garden Hats were just simply amazing!
Of course, the food at the Bel Air is always divine, and we sipped on a great Chardonnay (my wine of choice lately). Overall, I felt transported to an era long gone by... I certainly wish we could have more Hat Lunches like this one!
PS - Both Jenny and I are wearing Single Dresses of course, and I was so touched that about 8 of the ladies were also in Single! Cheryl Van Tassle wore the Faux Wrap Michelle Dress and a matching hat, as well as our vintage Single Floral Maxi Dress which was worn by our fab fellow Mannequin and is the same one Fergie wore on her honeymoon! The lovely Jackie Cruz also wore our Victoria Dress in Sand, and the Eva Dress in Polka Dot Navy/Cream was also worn with style by Leah Houska! What a great Single turnout! It makes perfect sense since our dresses are perfect for this type of elegant occasion. If anyone needs a Summer wedding dress or a dress to wear to brunch, then www.singledress.com is your location destination!
Have fun with these photos... we certainly did!!! :-)
Xo, G
