The Fashion Stills Exhibit

Hi dears,

I can't wait to tell you all about this fabulous event that I attended last week! It was a lovely Thursday evening, and we attended "The Fashion Stills Exhibit" at the Sofitel Hotel. This was a marvelous combination of fashion, art, photography and amazing food, and (of course) Perrier-Jouët champagne :)

The featured photographers were Jean-Marie Perier and Derek Hudson, and the entire event was designed and staged by the Polka Galerie from Paris. So chic! These talented photographers have completely succeeded in capturing unique moments in Haute Couture, via an eccentric pose or by immortalizing a gorgeous dress. Some familiar faces in the show included the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Moss, Yves Saint Laurent, and Carla Bruni AKA Madam Sarkozy the now wife of the French President!

The evening was entirely captivating and magical, with an acoustic guitar performance throughout the night. On the food front, the oysters were heavenly, and the tuna cones absolutely melted in my mouth. Yum!! What a fun and fashionable way to present photography... the French really know how to capture the moment!

After the exhibit, we headed down to the L'Ermitage Hotel to hear a jazz performance by Tichina Arnold, and enjoyed another glass of champagne. The night never seemed to end... oh boy, was it hard to get up for work the next morning! :)
