My Interview with COCOSA.com

Hi everyone,

I recently was interviewed by fashion website COCOSA.com, and wanted to share my answers with you. I think this is a great way to find out a little bit more about me, my design aesthetic, and my overall passions in life. Enjoy!

1. My design philosophy is:
Glamour, relaxed elegance with a fashion forward vision. Always be a woman... feel good in your own skin, and wear Single with zest, confidence, and excitement for what each day will bring.

2. What is inspiring to me right now is: 

The Renoir exhibit at the LACMA Museum. It is the fullest and most complete collection ever. The colors and the brushstrokes evoke such passion and excitement in me! Also inspiring to me right now are the night lights that twinkle over LA, the view from my deck, ocean and the waves of Malibu, and the colors of the graffiti on the walls of Downtown LA.

3.This spring, every woman should have in her closet:

A Single dress of course! We create beautiful, original prints inspired by exotic destinations and continents far away.  Let Single take you on a journey! The collection will carry you from London to Paris and St. Tropez and on to Capri without skipping a beat. All you'll need to add is a pair of sunglasses!

4. My next fashion purchase is:

A pair of linen boots from Christian Louboutin. Otherwise my wardrobe needs are always fulfilled with Single.

5. I can't leave the house without:

My BlackBerry of course - this is my link to the world and my business. Also my pale pink sparkly lip gloss, it always makes me feel feminine.

6. Thing I am most proud of is:

Creating and growing our company Single with my husband and business partner. Single is like our child, we have watched it grow and blossom. I am also extremely proud of my 3 children... they are turning into incredibly brilliant individuals. I get choked up just thinking about it.

7. I live in:

Los Angeles. The true city of angels. I love the weather and the city!

8. I'm good at:

Pretty much anything I set my sights on doing. I'm really good at creating the Perfect Dress!

9. I'm not so good at:

A few things: riding a bike, baking, and doing laundry.

10. My perfect day is: 

Breakfast with my family, including my husband, our 3 kids, and our German Shepherd named Troy, and taking them for a drive down Pacific Coast Hwy looking out at the Ocean. Ending up at Geoffrey's restaurant. On the beach in Malibu for an early dinner and the most amazing sunset ever, and watching a school of dolphins swim along.
