Merry Christmas, Miami Style!

Greetings from Miami!!!

I just returned from my quick Christmas trip to Miami, and am thrilled to say that it was both relaxing, fun, and exciting! After jetting out of gloomy LA, Miami's blue ocean was such a lovely change from the pouring rain! The weather was divine.... life's a beach, Miami style!! :-)

We spontaneously decided to take a short break - a "mother/daughter" trip - to Miami over Christmas break, as two of my best girlfriends and I took our daughters to Miami's sunny shores!! I personally love Miami, from the rich Art Deco culture and the aquamarine ocean to the vibrant, eclectic mix of people..... we all had so much fun bonding with our girls over trips to the beach, Bal Harbour, visiting our friends, and savoring the colorful zest that Miami has to offer.

We caught up with some of our friends who ran from the snow-covered planes of New York for a hot getaway, and discovered so many fantastic restaurants by night. We loved Sushi House, and of course Mr. Chow at the W Hotel in South Beach was incredible. The doors even have Lalique crystal handles, how decadent! Loved The Setai Hotel and it's beach, the girls and I had a delicious lunch at the beach front restaurant. But, I must say, my all time favorite was Casa Tua - the food is divine and they have a fun lounge/club upstairs that played great music. We also hit all of the wonderful shops in the Bal Harbour mall, and had lunch at Carpaccio there.

Of course, I took my entire Single wardrobe and received tons of compliments when I wore my Boho Fringed Sleeve Tunic to the Setai Beach... click here to buy this one of a kind item! Sara also wore mostly Single dresses and tops during the trip. :-) I spotted four women in Single dresses, which made me feel so good. What fun that was!! Visit www.shopsingledress.com for tons of great finds that would be perfect for a jetset trip to Miami, or any other tropical paradise!

Overall, Miami is a fabulous place to visit and I wish I could have stayed longer, however I must get back to designing the new Fall Collection! :-)

Upon returning to LA, I find myself refreshed and newly inspired.... ready to throw myself back into the creative world of fashion! This little mini-break was truly needed, and I loved spending time with my friends and bonding with my daughter.

'Til next time! Xo, G
