Summer Memories: A Day on the Yacht

Dear friends,

Now that we're closing in on the holiday season (can you believe it??), I find myself thinking back to the relaxing days of the summer. One of my favorite days from this past summer was spending a day at sea - what an amazing memory!

Michael and I are so very blessed to have such wonderful friends, who throw fabulous parties. One of these recent "fairy tale" events was a big birthday bash for Dr. Gabriel Chiu (of the fabulous Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Center... they have such a magnificent office that's designed to look like a Chanel store, so glam!) hosted by his magnificent, glamorous and absolutely FABULOUS wife Christine back on July 24. It was most definitely an event to remember, as we started at the Newport Beach Private Yacht Club and then boarded the lovely boat appropriately named "Endless Summer"..... it was magical. :-)

As we indulged on flowing champagne and yummy oysters on ice, Christine had a fabulous chef who offered the most delicious pairings! For example, there were caviar and vodka pairings (various types of caviar were served with different vodkas) and sashimi and sake pairings. Another delectable dish that I remember from this heavenly summer day was the prosciutto wrapped fig with melon paired with rose wine. Mmm! The food and drinks kept coming non stop, as the lovely jazz band provided the background music. There was also a silhouette artist on hand, so fun!!

Gabriel's birthday cake was a replica of the "Endless Summer" yacht, so cute! The Rolex team was also on board and we all had fun trying on their latest gorgeous watched. The rose gold tank was my favorite!!

I didn't want this glorious day to end, and fortunately for me, it didn't! We spontaneously decided to cruise to Catalina...... what a memorable summer day :-)

Enjoy the photos below. Xo, G
