Rest in Peace, Dear L'Wren

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I write today about a great loss in the world of fashion and glamour. I had the pleasure of meeting the stunning L'Wren Scott at Barney's, and she was as gracious as she was beautiful. She shared wonderful personal stories with us about her childhood memories of a structured handbag her mother owned, which inspired her handbag collection, as well as fun stories of castle hunting and decorating with Mick Jagger. I had the pleasure of chatting with her one on one, woman to woman... and all fashion frills aside, she came across as such a warm, loving, and unaffected individual.

It is so rare in our industry of flash, pomp, and false veneers to come across a truly down to earth (not to mention naturally stunning) woman. L'Wren was so ethereal and eloquent, and I must say, she left a remarkable, lasting impression on me.

To hear of such a senseless death brings not only great sadness to me, but to the world of fashion as a whole. L'Wren Scott was that rare, beautiful individual who comes across once in a lifetime and touches you forever. We will miss you greatly, L'Wren. You are an angel, a stunning, kind, statuesque, beautiful angel.

Rest in peace, dear L'Wren.

Xo, G
