I recently attended a luncheon that was organized by my dear, tirelessly philanthropic friend Christine Chiu and was a lovely afternoon to remember. Christine is on the board of The Blue Ribbon, the premiere women's support organization of The Music Center, and invited us for an afternoon of sheer delight that included a preview of the Valentino 2014 Resort collection.
It was a very balmy afternoon in LA, and the event - which included a gorgeous fashion presentation - was held at a private residence in Bel Air, at the home of Carla Sands (the President of The Blue Ribbon). The home was splendid, to say the least. It was great to see Valentino's breathtaking Resort pieces up close and enjoy the company of the most amazing LA women, including the lovely Elizabeth An of Crustacean and AnQi Restaurants.
I just adored the bright, vibrant colors and prints of the collection! The afternoon also included a pop-up trunk show, where we could shop the looks and our favorite Valentino shoes and accessories! I love the fab Valentino Rockstud Heels in lizard skin! Philanthropic shopping is such a feel-good process, it's amazing to give back with your purchases :-)
For the luncheon, I wore a vintage Valentino lace corset top with Single's Leather Stretch Jeans (our best seller this fall/holiday season!) and Valentino earrings and handbag from the Resort 2007 collection. I completed my look with my favorite new Italia Independent sunglasses that are available at Oceanview Optical. I also can't forget the glow of my skin thanks to Sophia Pan, the wonderful aesthetician at BHPS.
