I have a very fun sighting to share with you today! The gorgeous Ana Garcia, an award winning TV journalist here in Los Angeles who is actively involved with the Good News Girls Foundation, was seen wearing a custom-made Single Dress for her recent Emmys win! So huge!! Ana won not one but two Emmys wearing her lucky navy/metallic lace Single Dress.
Ana's personal note to me of her memorable, magical evening - including details about how the dress came to life - below is a must-read :-)
"When Galina said she would make me a special dress for the Los Angeles area Emmys, she meant business. Dresses are, after all, her business.
We were having dinner at a private event in the garden of the Stella McCartney LA store when Galina said "I will make you a special dress for the Emmys, and it will be your lucky dress. You'll see. You're going to win."
Dresses come with all sorts of promises of making us look sexy and skinny, but LUCKY? How could I resist.
The Emmys were just a few days away. I was nominated for two, and I was scheduled to also present on stage. Naturally, I was nervous about everything including my dress. And then I saw it. It was perfection. A Single blend of Hollywood glamour and elegance.
The French Navy lace dress with a delicate scallop/scalloped neckline hugged my body in all the right places. And with Single's secret weapon lining I hid (and held) everything that usually needs a little spanx!
When I heard my name, right after they said "and the winner is" I jumped out of my seat and ran on stage. This really was my lucky dress because I won two Emmys that night. I won for best Investigative Reporting and Hard News Reporting in Los Angeles television, two of the toughest categories.
