Single Spotlight: The Giving Closet

Hello loves,

Single Dress recently participated in an organization that is just so wonderful, I wanted to share it with you! The Giving Closet (check out their website here) is an incredible initiative that provides women in need with work attire. I was so honored to be able to participate for this cause, as we at Single always  strive to inspire and empower women "one dress at a time."

Sam Russell is the wonderful man behind The Giving Closet. After 12 years as a celebrity and TV wardrobe stylist, he was inspired to create a traveling mission that would surprise women in need with $10,000 worth of work attire. He finds these deserving women through non-profits like "Dress for Success," job fairs, or social workers. Most recently, Darlene of Lancaster City, PA was The Giving Closet's latest success story. Sam found Darlene through a social worker; she's a single mom of two and one of her daughters has special needs. Darlene is a school teacher who switched from working full time to part time in order to care for her daughter. This mom has not done anything nice for herself in years and was praying for a make-over for 12 months.

Single donated dresses to Darlene, and Sam told me that she was overcome with emotion and completely surprised. Take a look at some photos of Darlene in Single Dress below :-)

From everyone at Single Dress... we wish Darlene success and all the happiness in the world!!

Xo, G
