Hermes Heaven

As many of you know, Hermes - one of the most major luxury brands in the world - is one of my favorites. I'm quick to say that I have a love affair with Hermes. A classic, timeless, and oh-so-chic design house, what's not to love?

This Saturday afternoon, I made a trip to their Rodeo Drive location for a little pick-me-up. There's nothing like a trip to Hermes on a balmy Saturday afternoon to bring a smile to my face!

For me personally, the moment I walk through their doors and the heady sensation of their signature scent hits my nostrils, it's like an instant aphrodisiac! I love the elegance of the store, and over the years I must admit, I'm guilty of spending plenty of time here! I know almost everyone there :)

Whether it was time spent waiting for a birthday gift to be expertly wrapped by either Daniel or Michael (two of my favorite sales people there - they both have such a great sense of humor!), waiting excitedly as the time ticked away while I watched the box of my very first Birkin bag being opened, or purchasing my very first Collier de Chien cuff bracelet - time spent at Hermes is always a magical experience.

My love affair with Hermes and their stores began long, long ago; I have always loved their colorful silk scarves and impeccably well made leather goods. My first big purchase was in 1984 with the H Bag - it was brought back into fashion this year by many stylists. I still have the bag and it's in pristine condition. I have to say, there's no company like them in the world, from the quality, the service, and the amazing attention to detail.

And of course, the orange boxes - OMG. Just seeing those boxes alone can get a girl excited! I always try to go here for gifts, as I think there's nothing more fun to receive a little (or large!) orange box with the signature brown ribbon tied around it.

On this most recent Saturday trip, I picked up a gift for a Christening for a good friend of mine and an amazing H cashmere pillow for my house for the kids to hang out on! So fun!!

I also got a private lesson of how to tie an Hermes bow tie by hand - no words. Divine!

What a great way to pass on my passion for Hermes!
